The Royal College of Physicians 2016 report “Every Breath We Take: The Lifelong Impact of Air Pollution”, says that the harm from air pollution is not only linked to short-term episodes of asthma, it says there is now compelling evidence that air pollution is associated with both reduced lung growth in children and increased severity of asthma for those with the disease.
